The word “Pharaoh, par’oh פַרְעֹה” contains the same letters as “neck oreph ערף”: Pharaoh had the stiff neck of the rebellious and proud man.
His name can also read “peh rah, evil mouth.” He is the image of one who pronounces arrogant and blasphemous words:
Exodus 5:2 And Pharaoh said, “Who is the Lord, that I should obey His voice to let Israel go? I do not know the Lord, nor will I let Israel go.”
Daniel 7:20 and the ten horns that were on its head, and the other horn which came up, before which three fell, namely, that horn which had eyes and a mouth which spoke pompous words, whose appearance was greater than his fellows.
Revelation 13:5 And he was given a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies, and he was given authority to continue for forty-two months.
